CLINTON, S.C. – Saturday’s women’s tennis match between PC and Western Carolina was forced to be stopped due to rain in the Clinton area throughout the afternoon. The same two teams were unable to get a match in last season as well with weather interfering in Cullowhee, N.C.

The Blue Hose were able to take the doubles point in the opening part of the match, winning on courts one and three to take a 1-0 lead. Light rain delayed the start of singles play but the teams were able to get out on the courts and get play started.

With each of the matches nearing the midway point of the opening sets the rain returned and ultimately washed out the remaining action.

PC is back in action on Tuesday with its conference opener against Winthrop at home at 2 p.m.
