BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s soccer team fell at Campbell University, 6-2 in the Big South opener on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

The Lady Camels got on the bored twice in the opening six minutes of the game on a pair of goals from Alexa Genas. Frances Whitesides was able to cut the deficit in half in the 12th minute when the Campbell goalkeeper came out to challenge for the ball, leaving the net wide-open. Campbell regained their two goal lead in the 27th minute, and finished the game with six goals total. PC’s second goal of the game came in the 83rd minute when Ashlynn Powell shot over the head of the keeper from about 35 yards out.

Record

PC falls to 2-7-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the Big South, while Campbell improves to 6-4-0 overall and 1-0-0 in conference play.
