CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s soccer team fell to North Florida 2-0 at Martin Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened
PC and North Florida battled hard in the opening 45 minutes and played to a 0-0 draw at halftime. The game remained scoreless until the 51st minute when the Ospreys found the back of the net. North Florida capped off the scoring in the 55th minute on a goal that found its way into the bottom left side of the goal.
Woman of the Match
Frances Whitesides tied for a team-high three shots, while leading the team in shots on goal with two.
Stat of the Game
The team’s 17 shots are the most shots taken in a game since recording 41 in the season opener against Hampton on Aug. 28.
PC falls to 1-4-0 while North Florida improves to 2-3-2.
The Blue Hose will host Furman Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. This game is a makeup game for the matchup that was postponed due to inclement weather earlier in the season.
