SPARTANBURG, SC – Presbyterian College’s Davis Parker tied for 8th at the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational with a season's best score of 212 (-4). The Blue Hose finished 12th with a team score of 878 at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

Parker (Augusta, Ga) earned his fifth top-10 finish of the year with rounds of 73, 67 and 72. The senior led PC in pars (33), birdies (11) and eagles (1) on the CC of Spartanburg's par-72, 6,648-yard course.

Rounding out the scoring, PC had three golfers finish within three strokes of each other. Weston Sanders (Greenwood, SC) finished at 222, Carson Spears (Augusta, Ga) shot 223 and Park Brady (Saint Simons Island, Ga) carded 224. Hayden Ploeger (Aiken, SC) shot 230, while Cole Patterson (Travelers Rest, SC) shot 228 while playing as an individual.

The Blue Hose had three golfers record eagles during Monday's second round. Parker and Sanders each recorded one on the 494-yard, par-5 hole No. 5 while Brady recorded his on the 508-yard, par-5 hole No. 15.

Gardner-Webb won the team title by five strokes over the host Terriers, 847 to 852. The Bulldogs’ Vincent Blanchette set the tournament’s 54-hole scoring record with a 14-under 202 to earn medalist honors.

This was the final tune-up for the Blue Hose before heading to the Big South Men’s Golf Championship at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, SC, from April 16-19.
