GREENVILLE, SC – Presbyterian College’s Weston Sanders tied for 28th with a personal best 217 (+1) at the Furman Intercollegiate on Sunday while the Blue Hose improved to 17th place at 881 (301, 293, 287).

Sanders (Greenwood, SC) recorded a team-best 14 birdies en route to a personal best 217 (72, 73, 72). Davis Parker (Augusta, Ga) nearly caught the freshman, going -4 over the final two days, and finished at 218 (78, 70, 70) tied for 38th.

Hayden Ploeger (Aiken, SC) shot 222 (77, 75, 70) to tie for 58th and recorded the team's lone eagle on the 483-yard, par-5 hole No. 6 during round two. Carson Spears (Augusta, Ga) tied for 84th at 226 (76, 75, 75) while Park Brady (Saint Simons Island, Ga) tied for 87th at 227 (76, 75, 76). Playing as an individual, Wilson Yearout (Mount Pleasant, SC) finished 112th at 242 (84, 75, 83).

The Blue Hose recorded their best score of the season (+17), and their final round of 287 (-1) ranked fourth on the day. Their 54-hole score was also a program best for the par-72 Furman Golf Course (6,994 yards).

Georgia State combined to shoot 841 (285, 275, 281) and win the team title for a third consecutive year. USC Upstate's Ryan Cornfield won medalist honors at 203 (70, 64, 69).

The Blue Hose will return to play at the 2016 3M Augusta Invitational at GRU Augusta from April 1-3.
