ROCK HILL, SC – The Presbyterian College men’s and women’s cross country teams had a successful day at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational at the Irwin Belk Track. It was the team's first track meet since 2012.

The highlight of the day was freshman Preston Meade (Alpharetta, GA) winning the men’s developmental 1500m by over three seconds with a time of 4:04.43.

In an earlier 1500m heat, classmates Alex Johnson (Lexington, SC) and Jake Birdsong (Summerville, SC) finished third and fourth with times of 4:42.58 and 4:45.66 respectively. In heat two of the women’s race, freshmen Ripley Fricano (Atlanta, Ga) and Sally Hart (Raleigh, NC) finished third and fourth with times of 5:23.36 and 5:25.43 respectively.

Sophomores Hydia Green (Union, SC) and Bea DiBona (Charleston, SC) finished third and sixth in their heat of the developmental 800m with times of 2:37.92 and 2:44.47 respectively while freshman Duncan Gotfredson (Berkeley Lake, Ga) ran 2:07.60 to earn sixth in his heat of the 800m.

This was the only track meet of the season for the Blue Hose.
