The Presbyterian College volleyball team followed a 3-1 loss to Wake Forest with a 3-1 thrilling win over Davidson in the final day of the Deacon Invitational held this weekend in Winston-Salem, N.C.

PC moves to 3-4 overall on the young season.  The Blue Hose head up the road to Appalachian State Tuesday, Sept. 9, in a 7 p.m., match before playing in the Tiny Laster Classic in Hampton, Va.  PC faces Georgetown and Hampton on Sept. 13th at 10 a.m., and 6 p.m., respectively.

Four Blue Hose recorded at least 11 kills with Rachel Hall leading the way with a season-high 20.  Ashton Stewart and Kelly Berryman collected 12 apiece while Rachel Elshoff added 11.  Ashtin Frank posted 52 assists, while Mary Trimpe added 30 digs, both season-highs.  Elshoff and Frank each added 21 digs as well.

PC knocked over 64 kills for a .189 hitting percentage.  The Blue Hose collected 6.0 blocks, four block assists coming from Frank and Berryman.

Against Wake Forest, the Blue Hose recorded 49 kills and a .115 hitting percentage.  14.0 team blocks were recorded for PC, with Hall posting eight block assists and Berryman posting six block assists and three block solos.

Hall led the team with 12 kills, followed by Elshoff with 11, and Halle Tripp with 10.  Frank had 41 assist, with Trimpe and Mikayla Register posting a team-leading 14 digs apiece.
