The Presbyterian College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Northwestern in its second match of the NIU Invitational being held Aug. 29-30 in DeKalb, Ill.

Northwestern, which won the three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-18, improved to 2-0 on the short season, while PC fell to 0-2.  The Blue Hose face Colorado at 6 p.m. in their final match of the tournament.

Leading PC offensively was Rachel Elshoff with her seven kills.  She was followed by Rachel Hall with six.  Ashtin Frank finished with 17 assists while Elshoff and Mikayla Register added six digs apiece.  The Blue Hose recorded 19 kills as a team off 84 attacks for a .000 hitting percentage.

Symone Abbott and Kayla Morin posted nine kills, with Yewande Akanbi pacing the team with 12.  Northwestern came away with 40 kills off 84 attacks, to end the match with a .333 hitting percentage.  Taylor Tashima recorded 30 assists in the win.
