CLINTON, SC – The Presbyterian College cross country teams will begin the 2014 season on Saturday morning at the Carolina Challenge.  The University of South Carolina is hosting the annual 5k event at Fort Jackson’s Hilton Field.

The women will kick things off at 9:00 a.m. with the men racing immediately after at 9:30 a.m.  Besides the Gamecocks, there will also be teams from The Citadel, Georgia Southern, Paine, Pfeiffer, South Carolina State and Tennessee Tech.

Top returners for the Blue Hose are senior Gabriele Lesieur (Augusta, Ga) and sophomore Reid McCandless (Fort Mill, SC).  Freshman Bea DiBona (Charleston, SC) and sophomore Chris Sacco (Rock Hill, SC) are also expected to help lead their respective teams.
