Joel Roberts Named Big South Men's Tennis Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Presbyterian College men's player Joel Roberts (Summerville, S.C.) has been named The Crons Brand Freshman of the Week for matches played Feb. 10-16, it was announced today by the League office. 

The award is his first Freshman of the Week nod, the fourth for PC this year and every Blue Hose freshman has captured the award this season.

Roberts went 2-0 last week against Radford in the opening match of Conference play.  In singles action he defeated Nico Ascarrunz, 7-6, 6-4 in the No. 3 position to clinch the 5-2 team victory over the Highlanders.  Roberts teamed with Rafael Berghaus at No. 1 doubles and downed Nicholas Sayer and Patrick O’Keefe, 8-5.
