CLINTON, SC – The Presbyterian College women's golf team announced the signing of Katie Bishop to continue her golf career at PC next fall with the 2014-15 season.

Bishop joins the Blue Hose from Walker Valley High School in Tennessee where she compiled an impressive record.  The senior captain led her team to three-straight District 5 AAA Championships while finishing in the top-3 each season.  As a sophomore, she also led her team to runner-up honors at the TSSAA State Championship and finished tied for 11th as an individual.  Bishop carded a round of 75 to tie for individual medalist honors at the Cookeville High School Early Bird Tournament.  She also received player of the week honors from the Cleveland Daily Banner on September 25, 2012.

Not limited to just a stellar athletic career, Bishop also stands out in the classroom and community.  She has maintained a 4.0 GPA while also volunteering with the Salvation Army and Kiwanis Club delivering food to local families and cleaning up tornado damage.  She is a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), Key Club, Tennessee Scholars, and the Circle of Champions Honors Program.

Bishop will join a team that is set to lose three golfers to graduation in May.  With five tournaments already played this year, the Blue Hose will next play at the High Point Classic from February 24-25.
