Men's Basketball to Face Campbell in Big South Tournament
The Presbyterian College men's basketball team will play in its inaugural Big South tournament as the #6 seed out of the South Division and will face Campbell, #3 seed out of the North, in the opening round of the VisitMyrtleBeach.com Men's Basketball Championship being held Mar. 5-10 at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina. Tip-off for the Tuesday, Mar. 5 game is slated for 6 p.m. and will air live on the Big South Network, sponsored by State Farm. The game can also be heard locally on WKRI-FM i91.9.
PC ended the regular season with an 8-23 overall record and 4-12 in the Big South, while Campbell finished 12-19, 7-9.
The Blue Hose fell to Campbell in January, 62-46, in their only meeting of the season.
The winner of the opening game will face Gardner Webb Thursday, Mar. 7, in the quarterfinals. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. PC ended its regular season with a 76-57 loss at the Runnin' Bulldogs but earned a 57-54 win earlier this year.
The semifinals are set for 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 9, with the finals to be held Sunday at 12 p.m.
