Blue Hose Close Season with Trip to Gardner Webb

The Presbyterian College football team closes out the regular season Saturday, Nov. 17, as the Blue Hose travel to Boiling Springs, N.C., to take on the Gardner Webb Runin' Bulldogs in Big South Conference action beginning at 1:30 p.m.

PC is 2-8 overall and 0-5 in the league after falling to Coastal Carolina 65-7 in last week's game.  Highlighting the game was a 56-yard touchdown catch by freshman Jordan Hallums for PC's only score.  Redshirt Freshman Stephen Doar stepped in as punter for an injured Patrick Morgano and hit five punts, averaging 48 yards.   He hit a 60-yarder in the third quarter; it was his third punt for over 50 yards in the contest.

Leading the Blue Hose on the ground through 10 games is Lance Byrd who is averaging 64.1 yards in 130 carries.  Demarcus Rouse is second with 63 carries for an average of 45.6 per game.  Rouse is dominating the scoring with 54 points off his nine TDs.  Anderico Bailey paces the team in the air, having caught 41 passes for 318 yards for an average of 7.8 yards a catch.  Kaleb Griffin is 99-of-168 with four TDs and five INTs.  Michael Ruff owns the All-Purpose yardage with 908 total yards, a 90.8 average per game.  Despite not playing against Stony Brook Donelle Williams still leads the Blue Hose on the defensive side of the ball with 89 total tackles (46-43).  He is followed by L.J. Perry with his 59 (30-29).

Gardner Webb is 2-8 overall and 1-4 in the Big South.  The Runnin' Bulldogs are coming off a 28-10 loss at Charleston Southern last week.  GWU is led on the ground by Kenny Little who has rushed for 590 yards and has posted five touchdowns.  Kenny Cook has six touchdowns in 41 receptions for 581 yards ... At quarterback is Lucas Beatty who is 198-for-309 with 12 interceptions and 11 touchdowns.  He averages 224.4 yards per game.
