Blue Hose Host Seawolves Saturday on ESPN3

The Presbyterian College football team returns to Clinton for the first of two home games in a row as the Blue Hose host the ninth-ranked Stony Brook Seawolves in a 1 p.m. contest at Bailey Memorial Stadium.  After a bye week PC will host Coastal Carolina on Senior Day at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.

The game will be televised live on ESPN3 as part of the Big South Game of the Week.

PC, 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the league, is coming off a 21-31 loss this past Saturday to Charleston Southern.  Leading the Blue Hose on the ground through eight games is Lance Byrd who is averaging 65.9 yards in 110 carries.  Demarcus Rouse is second with 48 carries for an average of 49.9 per game.  Rouse is dominating the scoring with 54 points off his nine TDs, while Anderico Bailey paces the team in the air, having caught 33 passes for 283 yards for an average of 8.6 yards a catch.  Kaleb Griffin is 65-of-113 with three TDs and three interceptions.  Michael Ruff owns the All-Purpose yardage with 661 total yards, an 82.6 average per game.  Donelle Williams leads the Blue Hose on the defensive side of the ball with 83 total tackles (43-40).  He is followed by L.J. Perry with 48 (24-24) in eight games.

Stony Brook is 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the Big South after Defeating Gardner Webb, 41-10, in its last game.  The Seawolves are ninth in the FCS poll and have won their last five in a row.  Their only loss this season is to FBS opponent Syracuse.  SBU is averaging 459.2 total yards of offense, 289.4 coming per game.  Miguel Maysonet leads the Seawolves on the ground averaging 161.2 yards a game with 12 TDs.  QB Kyle Essington is 73-for-124 for 1332 yards and 16 touchdowns.
