BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team fell to the Campbell Camels in a Big South Conference road match on Saturday afternoon, 3-0.

Campbell (10-4-1, 5-3-0 Big South) used two Keegan Terry assists and a pair of goals in the second half to push past PC (3-13-0, 2-5-0 Big South).

PC takes a weeklong break from competition before its next game, a Saturday night home finale against High Point at 7 p.m. in which the Blue Hose will honor their seniors.

Ignacio Monchetti (Montevideo, Uruguay) tallied a shot on goal for the Blue Hose in the first half. Thomas Valente (Bristol, Tenn.), Pachinno Roberts (Powder Springs, Ga.) and Greg White (Stockbridge, Ga.) each registered a shot in the contest as well.

Blue Hose goalkeeper Tyler Beadle (Douglasville, Ga.) made seven saves on the afternoon, with four coming in the opening frame.

The Camels took the lead shortly before halftime on a score that came 1:25 before the break. Keegan Terry played a one-two ball to Ricki Gaez that the attacker finished to give Campbell a one-goal advantage.

Ben Iiames followed with a goal in the 61st minute, heading in a cross from Bryce Miller to extend the Camels’ lead, 2-0.

The Camels struck once more in the 70th minute as Terry notched his second assist on a shot that created a rebound for Mitchell Cardenas.

The Blue Hose ramped up the pressure in the second period, taking three shots compared to Monchetti’s one in the first.

Four PC players stayed on the pitch for all 90 minutes in Newt Turk (Cornelia, Ga.), Jonny Mercado (Lilburn, Ga.), Brett Godwin (Suwanee, Ga.) and Tommy Erwood (Leawood, Kan.).
