Dowling Improves To Claim Tenth At Wendy's Invitational

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - Presbyterian College senior golfer Micah Dowling earned her fourth career top-ten finish by shooting a final round of 73 at the CSU Wendy's Invitational on Tuesday. PC finished 13th as a team with a three-round score of 978 (332, 319, 327).

Dowling (Orlando, Fla.) jumped 13 places on the final day to finish tenth overall with a score of 226 (76, 77, 73). Her final round of 73 was one stroke off the tournament best for Tuesday as well as the program's best for a third round.  Dowling earned her fourth top-ten finish as a Blue Hose and her second of the fall.

Junior Kalie Goodman (Easley, S.C.) tied for 58th at 247 (85, 78, 84). Freshman MJ Nogay (Silver Spring, Md.) shot 248 (83, 81, 84) to tie for 60th. Senior Kim Carpenter (Tampa, Fla.) shot 257 (88, 83, 86) to finish 69th. Junior Morgan Bentley (Blairsville, Ga.) improved to finish at 277 (96, 92, 89) and claim 74th.

Richmond shot 893 (293, 294, 306) to take a 12-stroke lead win second place Wofford (905). The Spiders' Tracy Martin shot 215 (70, 73, 72) to win individual medalist honors.  Full results are attached to this article.

This tournament was the final fall tournament for the women's golf team. PC will return to play at the Kiawah Invitational from March 2-5, on Kiawah Island, S.C.
