Blue Hose Volleyball Hosts Two Conference Games this Weekend

The Presbyterian College volleyball team will ride a three-match winning streak into a weekend Big South Conference series with Campbell and High Point.  The Blue Hose host Campbell Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m., and High Point Saturday the 13th at 7 p.m.  Both matches will be played at the Templeton Center in Clinton, S.C.

T-Shirts will be given to the first 100 fans both nights.

The volleyball team is 4-1 in the league and tied atop the standings with Liberty.  The Blue Hose are off to the best conference start in their Division I history and have won their last five of six matches.  Overall PC holds a 7-13 mark.

Campbell is 7-15 overall and 0-5 in the conference after falling at Radford and Liberty by 3-0 scores this past weekend.  High Point is third in the league at 3-2 and is 14-7 overall.  The Panthers defeated Radford, 3-1, last Friday before falling to Liberty, 3-0 this past Saturday.

The Blue Hose are led by Presley Mabrey, this week's Big South Player-of-the-Week.  She has 202 total kills and is averaging 3.11 a game, for third in the league.  She is followed by Allison Brown with 170 kills and Rachel Hall with 136.

Ashtin Frank, with her team-leading 712 assists, leads the conference with 10.33 a game.  Mary Trimpe paces the team defensively with 4.68 digs a game, which is good enough for first in the Big South.
