CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team (3-10-0, 2-3-0 Big South) welcomes the Liberty Flames (4-6-0, 2-1-0 Big South) to Laurens County as the Blue Hose look to snap a two-match skid. The program will also present its new additions to Martin Stadium at halftime, thanking several donors and welcoming alumni back for Homecoming.

Liberty enters the match with a 4-6-0 record on the year and a 2-1-0 tally in Big South play. The Flames snapped a three-match losing streak with their last two wins, both 1-0 home shutouts over Campbell (October 5) and American (October 9). Friday’s match marks the squad’s first road game since September 12. Kyle Breitmeyer leads the team with three goals and one assist.

PC will look to grab its first-ever win against the Flames, trailing in the all-time series with a 0-4-0 record. The Blue Hose fell to the Flames last season in Lynchburg, Va., 1-0. All four contests have ended in either 2-1 or 1-0 Liberty victories.

Winthrop took a 2-0 win from PC on Tuesday night, using two Achille Obougou goals to slip past the Blue Hose. PC took 17 shots on the night, tying a season-high. Five came from the foot of Byron Quinatoa and Ignacio Monchetti notched four.

Ignacio Monchetti scored his team-leading third goal of the year in Saturday’s road loss to Winthrop. Two of Monchetti’s goals have come as the first goal of the game. Josh Carter follows with two goals on the season while four players have three. The Blue Hose lead the conference in saves, with 87 (6.69 per game).

After 12 games, goalkeeeper Tyler Beadle entered the week with the third-most total saves in NCAA Division I, with 73. He also ranks seventh in the nation in saves per game, with a 6.08 average.
