Dowling Named Big South Golfer Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Presbyterian College senior Micah Dowling (Orlando, Fla.) has been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Women's Golfer of the Week for events played Sept. 15-17, it was announced today by the Conference office.

Dowling claimed sixth place at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate (par 72, 5,932 yards) finishing 1-under 143 (71, 72). She improved upon the school's 36-hole record by two strokes and became the first women's golfer in PC history to shoot under par for a full tournament. It also marked her third career top-ten finish, and first since her freshman year.

Dowling previously earned this honor after leading the Big South Conference at the 2011 Kiawah Island Intercollegiate her sophomore year.
