A trip to Nevada for the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational, as well as stops at ACC's Clemson and Georgia Tech and SEC's Tennessee and South Carolina, highlight the Presbyterian College's 31-game regular season 2012-13 men's basketball schedule, it was announced Monday.
"We have a tremendous non-conference schedule which will get us ready for a tough league schedule," said Head Coach Gregg Nibert, who begins his 24th season at the helm of the Blue Hose and first as a full Division I member. "The first four games will truly be a test for the team, opening up with Clemson, Georgia Tech, Creighton and Wisconsin. Creighton and Wisconsin will be highly ranked coming into the season."
"We're also playing at Tennessee and South Carolina, which will be tough. Starting a home and home series with Furman and Appalachian State this year will be exciting for our fans. This schedule will get us ready for our opening Big South home game on January 5 against VMI."
The Blue Hose open the regular season on the road for six straight games, taking on the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta Nov. 12 before heading to Clemson Nov. 14. PC travels to 2012 NCAA participants Creighton Nov. 18, and Wisconsin Nov. 20, before taking part in the Las Vegas Invitational Nov. 23-24, in Las Vegas, Nev.
