PC Women's Soccer Kicks Off 2012 Preseason
CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College women's soccer team began its preseason last week as the program prepares for its 24th campaign.
The Blue Hose host South Carolina State on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the team's only preseason game this season. The regular season begins with a four-game road swing that starts on Tuesday, August 21 at Francis Marion.

The squad returns 14 letterwinners from 2011 and eight starters, including leading scorer Sara Simpson (Columbia, S.C.), goalkeeper Jordan Broadway (Chapin, S.C.) and defensive stalwarts Alice Blackwell (Marietta, S.C.) and Brittany Whitson (Conyers, Ga.). Blackwell will serve as senior captain while Emily Boggus (Conyers, Ga.) and Stephanie Allen (Augusta, Ga.) maintain co-captain duties. The team also welcomes six newcomers.
The team plays its first regular season game at home on Sunday, September 2 against Furman at 7 p.m.
