The Tams coming to Clinton for Town Rhythms this Thursday
The final 2012 edition of the Town Rhythms of Clinton will be held this Thursday, July 26, at 7 p.m. The event, sponsored by the Presbyterian College Athletics Department, will feature a city favorite, The Tams.
"We're excited to again be sponsoring this event," said PC Director of Athletics Brian Reese. "The Town Rhythms provides a fun evening for the Clinton and Laurens County community and we are happy to be a part of it."
The Town Rhythms will be held at the Depot in downtown Clinton.
The Tams, who will be appearing here for the sixth straight year, have been churning out their unique Motown sound for almost 50 years. The band will be sharing many of its hits, such as "What Kind of Fool", "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy", I've Been Hurt" and "Hey Girl".
PC Athletics, which is sponsoring the event for the second straight year, will have a tent set up to sell football tickets as well as provide information on all of its other sports.
Food and drink concessions will be available and downtown restaurants and shops will be open. Fans are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and dancing shoes.
