Softball to Host Strikeout Cancer Game April 21

The Presbyterian College softball team will host its Strikeout Cancer Game on Saturday, April 21, against Liberty at 12 p.m., at the PC Softball Complex.

Softball players have been soliciting pledges and donations from the Clinton and PC communities, as well as from family members and friends to raise money for the American Cancer Society of Laurens County.  Each pledge made is for each strikeout earned during the game by a PC or Liberty pitcher.

The PC sorority chapter of ZTA will be in attendance at the doubleheader as well, selling t-shirts to help raise money for the family of Kathleen Lifsey, a PC student that was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  All proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will help cover her medical bills.

The softball team will also be sporting pink NIKE jerseys during the game, all of which will be sold afterwards for $15 apiece to help support the ACS.

For those that are interested in making a pledge or donation please contact a PC softball player on campus or the softball office at 864.833.8192.
