CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College tennis programs have announced two Blue Hose Tennis Camps for this summer, to be held from June 5-8 and July 17-20.
The camps will offer top-quality instruction, developmental programs and drills for players all the way from beginner to advanced and ages four to 18. This year will feature a Quickstart camp for campers ages four to seven from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and a Junior Development camp for campers ages eight to 18 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
"We are really excited to not only offer two camps this summer, but to also offer a Quickstart camp and a Junior Development Camp both weeks," said head coach Adam Herendeen. "This will be the first time that we have offered a Quickstart camp and the aim of it will be to help teach young children the game in a way that is fun and helps to grow their motor skills. It will be great for children ages four to seven and all ability levels. The Junior Development Camp will focus more on skill development and match strategy. We had such a great turnout for this camp last year and Coach Dunagan and I are very excited to offer two weeks of it this year!"
"I am so excited to work with Coach Herendeen this summer with our tennis camps," said head women's tennis coach Catherine Dunagan. "Quickstart is a great opportunity to impact kids around the community and get them involved in tennis at a young age. I look forward to teaching the developmental tennis skills to our youth around the area, and hopefully they will continue to grow in the tennis community."
All campers will receive a T-shirt.
