CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College baseball will more than hold its own this summer in the Summer Baseball circuit as the Blue Hose will have nine players participating in summer baseball.

The Blue Hose have two student-athletes playing in the Coastal Plain League. Cory Lyda (Simpsonville, S.C.) is playing for the Wilmington Sharks, while Jesse Harmon (Newberry, S.C.) will be playing for the Columbia Blowfish.

The Blowfish and Sharks will meet for the first time at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 2 in Wilmington, N.C. They will play for the first time at Capital City Stadium in Columbia, S.C. at 7:05 p.m. on June 12.

Drew Wingo (Simpsonville, S.C.), Nate Horton (Spartanburg, S.C.) and Mack Hite (Abbeville, S.C.) will represent Blue Hose baseball in the Southern Collegiate League. Wingo is playing for the Morganton Aggies, while Horton and Hite are both suiting up for the Spartanburg Blue Eagles this summer.

The Aggies and Blue Eagles will tangle on the diamond for the first time at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4 at Russell King Field on the campus of Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C.

Micah Black (Iva, S.C.) will hold the banner for PC baseball in the Great Lakes League. He will be playing for the Xenia Athletes in Action.

Derek Herron (Aiken, S.C.) and Chris Williams (Graniteville, S.C.) will both spending their summers playing for the Augusta Nationals of the Great South League.

Zach Snipes (Belton, S.C.) is spending his summer in the state of Colorado playing for the Greeley Grays, who are an independent summer team that plays squads from different leagues.
