Clinton, S.C. - The Presbyterian College volleyball team will play in their final non-conference match of the season on Tuesday night when they travel to Orangeburg to face South Carolina State. The Blue Hose have not played a non-conference opponent since September 14.
PC has been led offensively by freshman Erin Cooke, who recorded her second career triple-double last Tuesday night against Charleston Southern. Cooke leads the team with 161 kills on the year and also has the second most assists, 144. She is among five Blue Hose who have registered at least 100 kills this season. Junior Erin Eulitz (130), sophomores Sydney De Jong (123) and Allie Wright (114), and freshman Lauren Talbert (104) have each eclipsed the 100-kill plateau. Sophomore Sierra Jones paces the Blue Hose with 338 assists. Defensively, redshirt junior Daley Gosnell leads the way with 275 digs. De Jong has recorded a team-high 69 total blocks.
South Carolina State is 1-17 this season, but 1-2 in conference play. The Bulldogs' victory came against MEAC opponent Savannah State in just three sets.
