Clinton, S.C. – Coach Alaura Sharp and the Presbyterian College women’s basketball program have announced the addition of Shaymany Suarez to the 2018 signing class.

“I couldn’t be more please about the addition of Shaymany,” said coach Sharp. “She brings a wealth of versatility to the program with her ability to impact the game in many different ways. She is competitive and driven which shows not only on the court but her commitment to excellence in the class room.”

High School: Scored 15.0 points with 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.0 blocks per game in high school… Led the state of California in charges taken… MVP of Fresno High School… Big Shootout MVP… Immanuel Tournament MVP… First-Team North Yosemite League… Central Valley All-Star… Led Fresno HS to a 26-3 record… North Yosemite League Champions (10-0)… Division III Semi-finalist… CIF Division IV Round II Participant… Valedictorian of Fresno HS… Member of the Honor Roll, National Honor Society, and a North Yosemite League Scholar Athlete.

Personal: She chose PC because she is excited about the new leadership under Coach Sharp and her basketball knowledge, and excitement for the program which made it an easy decision. PC is a great academic institution and as a student athlete she feels the balance between academics and basketball will make it a perfect place for the next four years… Originally from Puerto Rico.
