Charlotte, N.C. – Hudson Roarick was named to the All-Big South Second Team and Kelty Fletcher has been named to the Big South Women’s Lacrosse All-Academic Team for the 2018 season as announced by the conference office this morning. Roarick started all 17 games while Fletcher played in all 17 games this season and started in 16 of them.
Roarick started all 17 games this season and had 30 ground balls to go along with 19 caused turnovers. She had a career single game high tying three caused turnovers in four of the seven conference games, including an active streak of three in a row to end the season. Roarick also tied her career single game best with five ground balls in the season finale at Radford. She added her first career goal at Delaware State.
Fletcher finished this season with career highs in ground balls, with 16, draws, with nine and caused turnovers, with eight. She set single game highs in ground balls, with three on three separate occasions. She also had four draws at Winthrop and tied her single game high with two caused turnovers on two occasions. Fletcher added one goal and one assist, both coming in the Delaware State game.
This is the sixth season of Big South women’s lacrosse and the Blue Hose have had at least one person selected every season.
