The Presbyterian College softball team and Longwood will take to the diamond Friday, April 13, in a single game starting at 4:30 p.m., at the PC Softball Complex in Clinton, S.C.  The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday, April 14, at 1 p.m.  The change is being made due to anticipated weather entering the Clinton, S.C., area Sunday.

 

PC seniors will be honored between the games on Saturday.

 

The Blue Hose are 3-31 overall and 1-11 in the Big South after going 1-2 against Winthrop last weekend.  PC is led by Macy Hyatt on offense with her .322 batting average and .378 on base percentage.  Jonnie Petree is tops in hits with 31, with Lindsay Harris pacing the squad with 12 RBI.  Kaylee Allen leads the team in the circle with her 88.2 innings pitched and 49 strikeouts.

 

The Lancers are 24-13 overall and 9-3 in the Big South, with a game at Virginia on tap April 11.  Kaylynn Batten leads Longwood with 37 hits, 24 RBI, and a .363 batting average.  Sydney Gay is the ace in the circle, with her 1.88 ERA in 134.0 innings of work.  She has struck out 119 and has made 23 starts.
