CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team returns to action this week with a pair of Big South matches, hosting Charleston Southern on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts and traveling to Campbell on Saturday for a 10 a.m. match.
The Blue Hose enter the week with a 5-5 overall record, after its last scheduled match against Colorado Christian on March 5 was rained out, with an 0-1 mark in the Big South. CSU enters Wednesday’s match with a 6-3 overall record, having won four straight, and 2-0 in the Big South. Campbell currently sits at 6-5 overall, having won five straight, with a 2-0 mark in Big South play.
Beth Taylor continues to lead the Blue Hose in singles play with a 10-0 record on the season. The sophomore also leads PC with a 6-3 record in doubles, highlighted by a 5-2 record with senior Brittany Nuttall. Senior Caroline Ferrari has also put together a winning record in singles play, going 5-4 on the year.
The match Wednesday is the first of three of four at home for the Blue Hose, all conference matches. After Saturday’s road match at Campbell, PC returns home for back-to-back home matches against Longwood and Liberty on March 24 and 25, respectively.
