CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team will play two matches in Macon, Ga. this weekend, facing Point on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Mercer on Sunday at 1 p.m.

PC returns to the courts after a loss at Georgia Southern last Saturday. Mercer enters the weekend with an 8-4 record on the season, coming a 5-2 win over Appalachian State to end a three-match losing skid.

The two teams met last season in Macon for a doubleheader with the Bears coming away with a pair of 4-1 victories over the Blue Hose. PC claimed the double point in the first match with wins on courts one and two, including first team All-Big South pair Alexander Lykou and Brandon Mills with a 7-5 win at No. 2. In the latter match, Ben Kelley recorded a 6-4, 7-6 victory at No. 4 for the point.

Senior Brandon Mills lead the team with a 7-5 singles record on the year, while freshman Daniel Stenger is just off the mark with a 7-6 record this season. Alejandro Bejar has put together a 5-4 record to lead PC in doubles, while Lykou and Mills lead the team as a pair with four wins.

The Blue Hose open conference play next week with a trip to Campbell on Saturday, March 17, before making a trip to UNC Asheville on Tuesday, March 20.
