Charlotte, N.C. – The Big South Conference has named Cortney Storey and Bronaza Fitzgerald Co-players of the Week for the week ending March 4. This is Storey’s third Big South Player of the Week honor in the 2017-18 season. In two wins Storey averaged 25.0 points, 6.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

In the Blue Hose’s win over UNC Asheville Storey set a school record with 30 points including 15 of which that came in overtime. She also added six assists, three rebounds and three steals. Storey added 20 points, six assists, three rebounds and one steal in the win over Charleston Southern. She finished the two games 20-22 from the free throw line.

Storey finished the 2017-18 season as the Big South leader in scoring at 15.9 points and 6.0 assists per game. She is the first player in the PC Division I era to lead the Big South in scoring, she has led the league in assists per game for two years in a row now.

The Blue Hose are back in action on Friday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. versus High Point.
