Zachery James is in his first year Presbyterian College as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, having started in the summer of 2017. He serves as the primary athletic trainer for the women’s basketball team and as the assistant athletic trainer with the Blue Hose football program.
Prior to coming to PC in August 2017, Zach completed three years as a resident athletic trainer at The Citadel. While working with the Bulldogs he was the primary athletic trainer for the men’s basketball program, while assisting with other sports such as, football, cross county, and track & field.
Zach received a bachelor's of science in athletic training degree from South Carolina University in 2014 and is currently completing a master of science in Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention from California University- Pennsylvania. While a student athletic trainer at South Carolina, Zach gained clinical experience working with USC football, women’s soccer, and campus recreation sports, as well as, off campus rotations with Benedict College football, and both Brookland-Cayce and Heathwood-Hall Episcopal High Schools.
Zach earned his national certification as an athletic trainer in 2014, is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the South Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association and is NASE Speed Specialist Certified.
