CLINTON, SC - The Presbyterian College men's golf team earned All-Academic Team honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday. Recent graduate, and the 2016 Big South Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Hayden Ploeger once again led the Blue Hose in the classroom.

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year. A total of 187 teams were honored for having a cumulative GPA above 3.0, with the Big South boasting a total of four. The other schools recognized were Longwood, Radford and Winthrop.

Georgia State (Division I), St. Edward’s (Division II), Kalamazoo (Division III), Governors State (NAIA), Central Alabama (NJCAA DI) and Mineral Area College (NJCAA DII) were named Academic National Champions for their respective divisions. Only 38 teams boasted a GPA above a 3.5 and earned the President's Special Regontition status.
