NINETY SIX, SC – It was a record-setting day for Presbyterian College during the second round of the 2017 Big South Women’s Golf Championship on Tuesday. Junior Celia Mansour shot an impressive round of 66 (-6) to break her own school record, establish a new tournament record and move into a tie for first at 137 (-7). The Blue Hose also recorded a program-best round of 287 (-1) and moved into a tie for third at 590.

Mansour recorded a bogey-free round consisting of six birdies and 12 pars at the Patriot Golf Club (par-72, 6,045 yards). She finished the day tied with Campbell’s Desiree Andersson.

Maiken Bing Paulsen shot even par to move into a 13th place tie at 148 (76, 72). Abby Driscoll went -2 over the first 9 holes before ending the day tied for 18th at 150 (76, 74). Ann Elizabeth Gore improved to a 30th place tie at 155 (80, 75). Rylie Marchman also improved to 165 (83, 82) and a 40th place tie.

The Camels hold a 14-stroke lead for first with a two-day score of 569. Gardner-Webb moved into second place at 583. PC and High Point climbed into a tie for third at 590. Charleston Southern (593) and Winthrop (605) dropped to fifth and sixth respectively. UNCA (617), Longwood (631) and Radford (633) round out the team leaderboard.
