• PC is second in the Big South in hits (334) and leads the league in sac bunts (32). The Blue Hose come in second in the league in ERA (4.27), fourth in opposing batting average (.258) and fourth in strikeouts (280).

Scouting Furman
• The Paladins ended a nine-game losing skid over the weekend with a three-game sweep of Western Carolina in Cullowhee, N.C. to move its record to 14-20 overall and 4-8 in the SoCon.
• Furman is batting .288 at the plate with 26 home runs on the year. It is led by Brandon Elmy with a .355 average, 11 doubles and five home runs, while Carter Grote paces the team with 28 RBIs.
• On the bump, FU holds a 5.17 ERA with opposing hitters managing a .279 average against them. Trent Alley takes the hill on Wednesday, bringing a 3-0 record and 1.80 ERA in 5.0 innings of work across three appearances this season.

Players Rank in Big South and Nationally
Brian Kehner leads the Big South in strikeout-to-walk ratio (7.43) and walks allowed per nine innings (0.99). He ranks 16th and 14th in the nation in two categories, respectively.
• Kehner and Hayden Deal have each totaled 52 strikeouts, good for third in the Big South.
• Kehner is also 10th in the Big South in ERA at 3.11
Cletis Avery and Tyler Weyenberg are tied for third in the Big South in sac bunts with seven apiece.
• Avery is second in the conference in stolen bases (15) and ranks 30th nationally.

Priaulx Still Swinging It
AJ Priaulx continues to lead the team at the plate this season, compiling a .333 batting average with three home runs, 24 RBIs and a .508 slugging percentage, all tops on the squad.
• The junior has had hitting streaks of 10 games and seven games this season, two of the longest on the team this season.
• The lefty is first on the team with 12 multi-hit games and is tied for second with six multi-RBI games.

Casaceli Gets on Base
• Senior Glen Casaceli has reached base in each of his last 18 games dating to March 10 in the series opener against Auburn.
• The third baseman has collected a hit in 15 of the 18 games with at least one walk in the remaining three games.
• The righty moved in to the leadoff spot on April 4, where he has remained since, going 10-for-32 (.313) with five runs and five walks for a .436 on-base percentage.
• Casaceli recorded nine-game hitting streak from March 19 to April 7. He has since recorded a hit in each of his last five games, after a hitless game on April 8 that ended the previous streak.
• Since the reach base streak started, Casaceli has improved his average from .190 to .287.

Avery Hitting Streak Ends at 11
• Senior Cletis Avery had his 11-game hitting streak snapped on Friday at Longwood. The senior went 14-for-42 (.333) with a double, a triple, a homer, 10 runs and nine RBIs in the longest streak by a PC player this season.
• The right-handed hitter had raised his average to .269 on the year at the conclusions of the streak, while also going 5-for-6 on stolen base attempts over the 11-game stretch.
• On the season now, Avery has stolen 15 bases on the season to lead the team and rank second in the Big South in that category. He is also third on the team in RBIs (20).
