CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team will host Newberry on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts. The match has been designated as the team’s Pink Out match.

PC is coming a loss to Wofford on Saturday but has won seven of its last nine entering play on Wednesday for a 9-4 record on the season. Newberry enters the match with an 11-3 record on the year at the Division II level, having won six straight matches. The two last met in 2015 with PC claiming a 7-0 victory over the Wolves.

The Blue Hose are led by Tracy Johnson with a 10-2 record in singles action and a 9-4 doubles record. Brittany Nuttall and Nicole Croxton have both continued their strong play as well, going 9-3 and 7-3, respectively, in singles action. Johnson and Croxton are 8-4 on the year as PC’s top doubles pair. Freshmen Beth Taylor (6-4), Katie Thompson (5-2) and Mary Kathryn Dickson (3-0) each have winning singles record in their first seasons with the program.
