Presbyterian College and head volleyball coach Korrinn Burgess announced the signing of defensive specialist and libero Megan Jones (Simpsonville, S.C.) to join the Blue Hose in the fall of 2016. She joins Erin Eulitz (Joliet, Ill.) who signed this past fall.

“I'm excited to have Megan join our program,” said Coach Burgess. She played on a club team for me a few years ago so I know firsthand how great her work ethic is. I'm looking forward to the impact she'll have on our defense.”

High School: As a varsity volleyball libero at East side, her team made it to playoffs all four years ... Her sophomore year the team advanced to third round ... As a junior year her team played in the upper state finals, while her senior year's team won upper state finals ... She lettered as a freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior ... Was a three-time All-Region selection ... All-State Team and All-Star Team member her senior year ...

Club: Clubbed with the Upward Stars and Axis Elite ... The Axis team placed third at AAU Nationals in 2013 and finished fifth at AAU Nationals in 2014 ... The Upward Stars won The AAU National Championship in 2015 ...

Personal: Megan Anne Jones was born in Greenville, S.C., on Aug. 4, 1998 ... Parents are Bobby and Cathy Jones ... She chose PC because it is an all around great school where she can see an opportunity for herself to not only grow as an athlete but as a student as well ... The administrative staff is welcoming, extremely helpful, and made her college visit feel as if she were at home ... She knew from the moment she stepped foot onto campus that PC would be my her home for the next four years ... Intends to major in pre-pharmacy.
