The Presbyterian College Athletics Department recently announced the fall schedules for volleyball, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer. On tap for the 2016 season are 27 combined home events and matchups against upstate rivals Wofford, USC Upstate, and Furman. Volleyball plays in four regular-season tournaments, while Men’s Soccer heads out to Texas for the Rio Grande Valley Invitational. Women’s Soccer, with a total of 10 home games, hosts a team from California and Florida.

The Blue Hose volleyball team opens the season at the Chattanooga Classic Aug. 26-27, before traveling to Jacksonville, Fla., for the Jacksonville Classic Sept. 2-3. The two other regular season tournaments include the Northeastern Invitational in Boston, Mass., Sept. 9-10, and the Crimson-White Tournament in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Sept. 16-17.

PC takes on Wofford (Sept. 6) and USC Upstate (Sept. 27) in Spartanburg, S.C., and hosts the Terriers Oct. 25, to round out its non-conference slate. The Blue Hose opens home and Big South play Sept. 20, against Charleston Southern at the Templeton Center. What follows are home league matches against Radford (Sept. 23), Liberty (Oct. 14), Winthrop (Oct. 15), High Point (Oct. 21), Campbell (Oct. 22), Gardner-Webb (Oct. 29), and UNC Asheville (Nov. 8).

The Volleyball team returns the favor on the road in conference games against the Runnin’ Bulldogs (Sept. 30), the Bucs (Oct. 4), the Camels (Oct. 8), the Bulldogs (Oct. 18), the Flames (Nov. 4), the Highlanders (Nov. 5), and the Panthers (Nov. 12). The Big South Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 18-20, at the Vines Center in Lynchburg, Va.

The men’s soccer team opens with two exhibition matches this season as the Blue Hose host Erskine on Aug. 17, at Martin Stadium, and travel to Pfeiffer Aug. 22, in Misenheimer, N.C. The regular season opens Aug. 26, with the team facing Wofford. Other non-conference home matches include UNCG Sept. 14, Mercer, Sept .17, and Georgia Southern Oct. 18. PC is on the road at USC Upstate Aug. 29, at Furman Sept. 7, at Georgia State Sept. 17, and at Appalachian State Oct. 4.

The big trip for PC takes place Sept. 2-4, when the Blue Hose travel to Edinburg, Texas to face UTRGV and Houston Baptist in the Rio Grande Valley Invitational.

Big South play starts Sept. 24 as the Blue Hose host High Point. The remaining home conference games include Winthrop (Oct. 1), Longwood (Oct. 15), and UNC Asheville (Oct. 26. The Blue Hose are on the road against Radford (Oct. 8), Campbell (Oct. 22), Liberty (Oct. 29), and Gardner-Webb (Nov. 2). The league tournament is scheduled for Nov. 6-13 with all games at the home sites of the higher seed. The quarterfinals are Nov. 6, the semifinals Nov. 9, and the finals Nov. 13.

Women’s Soccer opens the 2016 season with six home matches, including two exhibition matches with the Blue/White scrimmage taking place Aug. 19, and a series with Limestone taking place Aug. 21. The season-opener is against Furman Aug. 26, with the Blue Hose turning around to take on Hampton Aug. 28. California State-Bakersfield comes to town Sept. 2, with Mercer following Sept. 4. PC’s last home non-conference match is Sept. 11, against North Florida. PC’s first road match is Sept. 9, at Wofford. Other non-conference road games include USC Upstate Sept. 16 and Clemson Sept. 18.

The Blue Hose begin Big South play at Campbell Sept. 24, with other league road games to follow at Liberty (Oct. 1), Longwood (Oct. 8), and High Point (Oct. 19). PC is home against Gardner-Webb (Sept. 28), UNC Asheville (Oct. 5), Charleston Southern (Oct. 12), Radford (Oct. 15), and Winthrop (Oct. 22).

The Big South tournament is scheduled for Oct. 28-Nov. 6 with the quarterfinals at home sites of the higher seed Oct. 28, and the semifinals and finals at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C. The semifinals are Nov. 4, with the championship match Nov. 6.
