Wesley Bell enters his second year as an assistant athletic trainer at PC. He will be the primary athletic trainer for the men’s soccer and baseball teams.
Prior to coming to PC in August 2015, Bell served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at North Carolina State University. During his stint at NC State, he worked with the baseball, Women’s soccer, and the Men’s and Women’s tennis teams. He earned a master's degree in Adult Education from NC State in May 2015.
Bell received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Western Carolina University in May 2013. While serving as a student athletic trainer at Western, Bell worked with the men’s soccer, softball, and men’s basketball teams. Wesley also served an internship with the Ole Miss Rebels football team during the 2012 fall season and with the North Carolina State wrestling and baseball teams in 2011-2012. He also served a summer long internship with the Tampa Bay Rays affiliate, Durham Bulls baseball team during the summer of 2011.
Wesley earned his national certification as an athletic trainer in 2013 and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the South Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association (SCATA). Bell has taken it upon himself to become a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM) technician. He is also an American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certified Professional Rescuer.
