CLINTON, SC - The Presbyterian College men’s and women’s cross country schedules were released on Monday by head coach Thad Palmer. Highlights include hosting the 2015 Big South Cross Country Championships and a trip to the Disney Cross Country Classic.

The season will open with a short race at Winthrop on Friday, September 4. The women will race a 4k starting at 5:45 p.m. while the men will have a 6k race following at 6:15 p.m.

On September 12, the Blue Hose will head to the Furman XC Classic, held at the Furman Golf Course. The women's race will increase to a 6k, beginning at 8:30 a.m., while the men will have their first 8k of the season start at 9:15 a.m.

After missing last year’s UNCA race, PC will return to the Asheville Cross Country Carnival on September 19 in Swannanoa, N.C. The men’s 8k is scheduled first at 9:00 a.m. and will be followed by the women’s first 5k of the season at 9:45 a.m.

After an off week, PC will co-host the Upstate Invitational / Big South Preview Meet on October 3 at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. The women’s 5k will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be followed by the men’s 8k at 9:45 a.m.

Over Fall Break, both teams will travel to Kissimmee, Florida, for the Disney Cross Country Classic, on October 10. It will be the third time in four years that Palmer has taken his teams to race at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports. The men’s 8k is scheduled for 7:40 a.m. followed by the women’s 5k at 8:20 a.m. Fans can find more information regarding the race by clicking here.

With a quick turnaround, PC will then race on Friday, October 16, at the College of Charleston Classic located at Trophy Lakes on Johns Island, S.C. The women’s 5k will be first at 4:45 p.m. followed by the men’s 8k at 5:15 p.m.

To end the regular season, the Blue Hose will be hosting the 2015 Big South Cross Country Championships at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday, October 31.  The men’s 8k championship will start at 10:30 a.m. followed by the women’s 5k championship at 11:30 a.m. and an awards cermeony at 12:30 p.m.

On November 13, the University of Virginia will again host the DI Southeast Regional at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Ky. The men’s championship 10k will is slated for noon followed by the women’s 6k championship at 1:15 p.m.
