CLINTON, SC – The Presbyterian College men’s golf schedule was released on Saturday by head coach Thomas Addison. The Blue Hose will compete in 12 tournaments over five states with three new additions to the schedule.

PC will start the fall on September 20 at the Memphis Intercollegiate at the Colonial CC in Memphis, Tenn. It will be the team’s first trip to the three-round, par-72 tournament that played 7,304 yards last season.

On October 11, the Blue Hose will return to the Donald Ross Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State, at the Mimosa Hills GC.  Last season saw Davis Parker finish runner-up with a two-round program record of 10-under (130; 63, 67) while the team also set a 36-hole record (568; 284, 284) and tied for second.

One week later, Addison will take his team to the inaugural Elon Phoenix Invitational, hosted by Elon at the Alamance CC in Burlington, N.C.

On October 23, the Blue Hose will return to the Camden Collegiate, hosted by South Carolina at the Camden CC, where they tied for sixth a season ago.  Hayden Ploeger led the way on the par-70 course with a collegiate-best 215 (+5).

PC will then finish the fall schedule with a return trip to the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on October 31.  Charleston Southern will again host the three-round tournament at the Turtle Point GC.

The spring schedule opens with a familiar trip to Francis Marion’s Wexford Intercollegiate to be contested at the Wexford Plantation at Hilton Head Island, S.C. on February 21.

Stetson will then host the 2016 Intercollegiate Invitational from February 28-March 1 in Orlando, Florida.  It will be the Hatters’ first year hosting at The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes.

On March 6, the Blue Hose will head USC-Aiken’s par-70 Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Palmetto GC before heading to the 47th Annual Furman Invitational on March 24.

The third and final addition to the familiar schedule sees PC competing at the 2016 3M Augusta Invitational hosted by Augusta State beginning on April 1. The Jaguar’s will host at the Forest Hills GC, a par-72 course that played 7,005 yards last year.

Addison’s team, like the last six consecutive seasons, will have their penultimate tournament at the Wofford Invitational, on April 10, before heading to the Big South Championship, on April 16.  The Terriers will again host at the Spartanburg CC, while the Conference Championship will be contested over three rounds at The Patriot GC in Ninety Six, S.C.

Addison and the Blue Hose added five freshmen to the roster including Cole Patterson, Weston Sanders, James Scott, Will Strickland and Wilson Yearout.  Top returners include Parker, Ploeger, Park Brady and Carson Spears.
