Tournaments played at Florida Gulf Coast, Davidson, Clemson, and UNC Wilmington, as well as eight home matches, highlight the 2015 Presbyterian College volleyball schedule, it was announced recently.

“I am excited about our schedule this season,” said Head Coach Korrinn Burgess, who is entering her second year at PC.  “With the loss of five seniors this past season I was looking for a schedule that was competitive but also gave us an opportunity for our young team to earn valuable experience and gain confidence heading into the always tough Big South slate.”

PC opens the season at the FGCU Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites Classic in Fort Myers, Fla., August 28-29. The Blue Hose face Fordham on Friday before taking on New Orleans and host FGCU on Saturday.

The Blue Hose home opener is set Sept. 2 Wofford, before heading to Davidson, N.C., for the Wildcat Classic Sept. 4-5.  After a Friday match against East Carolina, PC takes on the Wildcats and Hampton on Saturday.

The following weekend, Sept. 11-12. PC is in the upstate at the Clemson Classic.  There the Blue Hose face USC Upstate Friday and host Clemson, as well as ETSU, on Saturday.

The team rounds out regular-season play Sept. 18-19, at the Courtyard by Marriott Volleyball Classic.  The Blue Hose face host UNC Wilmington Friday, and then Stetson, and UMES on Saturday.

PC returns home for a three-match home stand, as well as opens Big South play, against Charleston Southern (Sept. 25), Coastal Carolina (Sept. 26), and Winthrop (Oct. 2).

The Blue Hose take to the road for five matches, beginning with Gardner-Webb on Oct. 9, and UNC Asheville Oct. 10.  PC heads to Campbell Oct. 16, High Point Oct. 18), before traveling to Wofford October 21.

Two home matches are on tap next for the Blue Hose next, with the squad hosting Liberty Oct. 23 and Radford Oct. 24.  PC is next in action when it travels to Charleston Southern Oct. 30 and Coastal Carolina Oct. 31.

The Blue Hose return home for the final time in 2015 with a two-match home stand, starting with UNC Asheville Nov. 6, and ending with Gardner-Webb, Nov. 7.

The regular-season finale is set for Nov. 13, at Winthrop, with the Big South Tournament slated for Nov. 19-22, at High Point.
