The Presbyterian College women’s soccer team and Head Coach Brian Purcell have announced the 2015 season schedule, featuring eight home games to be played at Edens Field at Martin Stadium.

“We are excited about the balance and potential for development of our team given our schedule for the fall,” said Coach Purcell.  “There are really three distinct components which each add their own flavor to the schedule.   The first is the non-conference portion of the schedule against our traditional local rivals.   Secondly, we have two great weekend trips where we compete against diverse competition and some teams we haven't played in several years. Then we finish the season with the intensity and excitement of the Big South schedule.   We are looking forward to the challenge and seeing what the season holds for us.”

The squad opens with two exhibition games with the annual Blue/White Scrimmage Aug. 14, before a meeting at Western Carolina on Aug. 17.

The Blue Hose open the regular season with a home match against Francis Marion on Aug. 23, before they head south to take on North Florida Aug. 28, and Jacksonville, Aug. 30.

The Blue Hose host next host two Spartanburg rivals as PC welcomes Wofford Sept. 4, before looking to win its third straight contest against USC Upstate Sept. 11.

After heading up the road to Greenville to take on Furman in a Sunday game on Sept. 13, the Blue Hose travel to Lexington, Va., to take part in the VMI Tournament Sept. 18-20.  PC faces VMI Sept. 18, and NJIT Sept. 20.

The team opens Big South play Sept. 23, against Coastal Carolina at Martin Stadium.  PC hits the road for the next three conference matches against Radford Sept. 26, UNC Asheville Sept. 30, and Charleston Southern, Oct. 3.

Liberty visits the Blue Hose on Oct. 7, to open a three-game Big South home stand. Campbell (Oct. 10) and Longwood (Oct. 14) make up the other two home games.

After the Blue Hose make a trip to Gardner-Webb on Oct. 21, they return home to host High Point Oct. 24, for the final home match of the season.

The 2015 regular season ends on the road against Winthrop Oct. 27.

Big South Conference tournament play begins Oct. 30, with teams facing each other at campus sites in the quarterfinals.  The semifinals (Nov. 7), and championship match (Nov. 8) are slated to be held at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C.
