India Elliott begins her first season with the Presbyterian College women's basketball team as an assistant coach.

Elliott arrives at PC after two years as an assistant coach at Wingate University. While there, Elliott helped the Bulldogs improve from a 19-11 record in 2010-11 to a 24-9 record last season, a campaign that included South Atlantic Conference regular season and tournament titles and two wins in the NCAA Division II Tournament. Wingate's tournament run led the squad to the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship game and the No. 20 ranking in the country.

In addition to her experience at Wingate, Elliott boasts strong credentials as a coach and player. Before her work with the Bulldogs, the new Blue Hose assistant served as head girls' basketball coach at Kestrel Heights School in Durham, N.C. She guided the program to its first conference tournament championship game appearance in 2010 after a season that saw her earn Coach of the Year honors in 2008-09.

Elliott also spent a year as assistant coach at the South Carolina Governor's School of Science and Mathematics (SCGSSM).

On the court, Elliott starred for four years of NCAA Division II basketball at Saint Paul's (Va.) College and Coker College. She took home Coker's Most Valuable Player award her senior season and earned the Coaches' Award for two straight years while at Coker.

Following her graduation, Elliott played on the USA Elite team during a 2007 European tour and served as a South Carolina All-Star Ambassador on a tour of Guyana in 2009.

Elliott earned a bachelor's degree in Art Education from Coker in December 2007 and recently earned a Master's degree in Education Supervision and Administration from Wingate.
