Catherine Dunagan is in her third year as the head women's tennis coach at Presbyterian College.

Dunagan led the Blue Hose to the team's first-ever Big South Conference Women's Tennis Championship tournament in 2013 and two different Big South Conference Players of the Week, as well as the program's first win over Wofford in the Division I era.

The former PC star's first season saw the Blue Hose capture 10 wins for the first time since moving to Division I.

Dunagan returns to PC, where she starred as a player, after two seasons as the head women’s tennis coach and compliance officer at Newberry College. While at Newberry, Dunagan guided the Wolves to a four-win season in 2011 after taking over a team that went winless in 2009, improving the record in each year. She also helped produce an All-South Atlantic Conference First Team selection and an ITA Scholar-Athlete during her tenure.

Prior to Newberry, Dunagan served as the Director of Tennis at Woodlands Country Club in Columbia, S.C., after working as the assistant tennis professional at the Rockbridge Club for two years.

As a tennis professional, Dunagan offered tennis lessons to adults and children, as well as organizing tennis camps and coaching high school league teams. She also holds a certification with the Professional Tennis Registry.

While at PC, Dunagan (then Catherine Bankhead) served as co-captain for two years and played at the top flight in singles and doubles for three consecutive SAC championship-winning teams in 2005, 2006 and 2007. She earned all-SAC honors all four years and was also named to the all-SAC tournament team from in 2004, 2005 and 2006, capping her career by winning the SAC Tournament Most Valuable Player award in 2007.

Dunagan helped the Blue Hose to a combined 24-1 record in South Atlantic Conference competition during her four years as a player. She received her degree in 2007, majoring in psychology and minoring in mathematics at PC.

She is married to PC assistant football coach David Dunagan.
