Megan Trimpe enters her first year as Academic Services Coordinator/Assistant Compliance Director.  Trimpe previously served as an assistant volleyball coach at PC.

"It became clear early on that the right candidate for the job was already here on campus," said Reese. "Megan (Trimpe) has been at PC for several years and her knowledge of academic services and compliance as a coach will enable us to take another step forward in our commitment to producing well-rounded student-athletes."

As an assistant coach the last four years, Trimpe worked with the setters while also serving as the recruiting and academic coordinator for the Blue Hose.  Along with her coaching duties she was responsible for all NCAA compliance paperwork and student-athlete progress reports.

This past year Trimpe served on the NCAA Self-Study Committee and was Chair of the Student-Athlete Handbook Committee.

Trimpe graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois College with a bachelor of arts degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing.  The Phi Beta Kappa honoree also earned one of just five Illinois College Trustee Full Scholarships and was a member of the Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society.

The Bloomington, Ill., native was a four-year letterwinner as a setter on the volleyball team at Illinois College and holds the career assist record (4,747) for the Lady Blues.  She also played a semester at the University of Nottingham while studying abroad her junior year.

"My time with the volleyball program has been a very important and rewarding experience for me, and I am very grateful for everything Coach Belshe and the team have given me," said Trimpe.  "I felt this was the perfect time for me to move into an administrative role and build on the experiences I have gained from being a coach here.  I am very excited to move into a position where I can help all of the student-athletes at PC and interact with the campus community."

Trimpe has served as an assistant sports information director at PC as well, assisting with a variety of sports, including men's basketball, where she served as its primary contact for the second half of last season.
