Heide Burgin is in her seventh year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at PC. She acts as the primary athletic trainer for the men’s soccer, women’s basketball and softball teams.

Before starting at Presbyterian College, Burgin served a one-year internship at VCU. During that year, she worked with the volleyball and men’s and women’s track and field programs.

Prior to VCU, Burgin was an intern with the Auburn University sports medicine office for two years. She handled responsibilities for the women’s soccer team and assisted with other sports as requested.

In her time there, Burgin served as the Co-Sports Medicine Director for the Southeastern Conference Men’s and Women’s Diving Championships and the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.

She earned a B.S. in Health Science from Clemson in 1998 and a master’s degree in Sports Medicine from the United States Sports Academy in 2004. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the South Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association.

Formerly Heide Zeiser, she married Chris Burgin in May 2008. They reside in Clinton.
