WLBG along with PC College station WPCX-FM 97.1 will bring you all the action from Stegeman Coliseum at Georgia. The on-air talent for Friday's game will be Rhett Harris and Mark Freeze. In the Clinton area Blue Hose fans should turn their dials to 97.1 WPCX, the official student radio station of Presbyterian College to hear the Presbyterian College Sports Network broadcast. The UGA basketball radio network will also broadcast the game across the state of Georgia.
GAME NOTE HIGHLIGHTS:
SEASON OPENER: The Blue Hose dropped their second consecutive season opener against Duke on Nov. 10. The Blue Hose also dropped their season opener last year to Nebraska. The last time PC claimed a victory in the season opener was in a 69-63 win over Lander during the 2006-07 season.
STRONG OPENER: Freshman guard Bo King ended his regular season opener against Duke tied for the team lead with 13 points. King was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the game.
DOWN LOW: Al'Lonzo Coleman finished the Duke game having led or tied for the team lead in scoring for the 12th time in his short Blue Hose career. Coleman had 19 against Houston and he has now accomplished this particular feat in 12 of the 32 games in which he has suited up for the Blue Hose.
CAREER BEST: Center Al'Lonza Coleman secured his first career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the loss against Houston. His 19 points tied his career high, and the 10 rebounds set a new record for Coleman.
EXHIBIT NO. 1: Three players finished with 10 points each in Presbyterian College's 70-60 exhibition loss to Augusta State on Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Templeton Center. Augusta State is the 2007-08 NCAA Division II National Runner-up. Reigning NCAA Division I Independent Newcomer of the Year Al'Lonzo Coleman (Charlotte, N.C./Vance) was 4-for-7 from the field on the night en route to his 10 points. He had a team-high tying four rebounds in the loss. Pierre Miller (Warner Robbins, Ga./Warner Robbins) and Josh Johnson (Hendersonville, Tenn./Hendersonville) both hit two three-pointers, one shot inside the arc and two free throws to acquire their 10 points. Johnson tied Coleman for team-high honors with four caroms in the game. Senior guard Bryan Bostic (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) had nine points for the Blue Hose in the loss. Freshman Bo King (Charleston, W.Va./Charleston Christian) tallied eight points during his first ever appearance for the Blue Hose at the Templeton Center. Coleman and Miller both recorded three steals each in the contest.
LOOKING OUT FOR NO. 1: The Blue Hose enter the 2008-09 season still looking for their first regular season road win at the NCAA Division I level.
