Chris Doran enters his first season with the Presbyterian College men’s soccer team in the spring of 2019.

A native of Rotherham, England, Doran comes to PC after spending the last two seasons at West Liberty University as a first assistant and briefly as the interim head coach from November 2018 – January 2019.

Prior to his time with the Hilltoppers, Doran was the first assistant on Alderson-Broaddus' 2016 G-MAC championship team. He was also an assistant coach at Marshall University in 2015 when the Thundering Herd advanced to the Conference USA championship game. He began coaching as a graduate assistant at Bethany College from 2013-15.

Doran played his college soccer at Alderson-Broaddus (W.Va.) University, where he was honored in 2015 by being named to the Men's Soccer All-50 Team as one of the best players in the program's 50 years of existence. A two-time All-WVIAC selection and the WVIAC Freshman of the Year, Doran was a four-year starter and two-year captain with the Battlers.

Doran graduated from Alderson-Broaddus in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and health studies and holds master’s degrees in teaching education, from Bethany College in 2015, and organizational leadership, from West Liberty in 2018. He has also earned an NSCAA National Diploma, USSF D License and a FA Level 2 License.
